The world of Building Information Modelling is moving forward.

As technology is creeping its way into the everyday, mundane activities of the human life, the world is changing in the way people interact with one another, and with the environment around them.

Virtual reality allows for an idea or a concept to be planned, designed and tested in a fictional world, before it is allowed to take up energy or space in the real world.

One software that allows such a degree of modelling and visualisation is Autodesk Revit.

Bought for in 2002, and releasing on versions on the market since 2004, Autodesk have brought an interactive and highly performant piece of technology to the architectural table.

Students around the world are beginning to learn about it, and taking advantage of the speed, accuracy and error preventing that this programme offers, both for the design and the construction teams.

Drawing, modelling and simulating has never been easier.
