Market Square analasys

The commercial activities that take place in the Market Square mimic and resemble the facilities that are being designed in this project. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and places where food can be accessed. Not so many residential elements are present though, even though the south side of the area is packed with estate agencies. The Central Town Library lies just a little further east, on Abington Street.

The Northampton Borough Council have done a very complex and in depth research on the buildings in the Market Square. The research deals with the level of historical relevance that is represented in the construction processes around the area. This research is comprised in a book called Building Frontage Appraisal. Together with modern day representations, the book conveys enough historical evidence that reflects the past aspect of this area of the town.
